What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal and sensitive information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or contact www.orthotika.com (the “Site”).

We use the Contact Information that we collect generally to fulfil appointments or enquiries through the site. Whether and what contact information you provide initially is your decision but we may request name, telephone number, email address, date of birth, GP name and address through a password protected email in order to appointments for you.  Additionally, we use this Contact Information to:

§  Communicate with you;

§  Make clinic appointments for you.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We will not use your data for direct marketing purposes or share your data without your prior consent. Any data you request us to share with external partners will be password protected if sent electronically. In order to fulfil appointments we will request your express consent to share your personal information with Rugby Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic who use the information you provide to make Podiatry appointments for you at their clinic in Dunsmore Avenue, Rugby.

 If you decide to make a clinic appointment your data will be subject to the Privacy Policy of Rugby Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic.
